Mark Conley

Mark Conley has been riding, showing and training on the County and A level circuits on both the East and West Coast for over thirty years. In additon to coaching, teaching and training Mark acts as a consultant through CEC Nutrition and Design. When he is not riding or coaching he spends his time consulting, buying and selling horses as well as making improvements to our facility. Mark is a dedicated businessman as well as trainer, a unique and difficult balance to achieve. He is very particular about the coaches he works with in his own development as well as the people he hires to assist him.

Liz Mcintyre, Assistant Trainer

Liz met Mark when her daughter started riding with him about six years ago. After realizing that the level of dedication her daughter was displaying would cause her to be spending large amount of time at the barn she decided to start working with Mark. Drawing off her experiences growing up riding at Torrey Pines, as well Mark's guidance, she has become a thorough and careful instructor. She teachs children through adults and assists Mark by assistant coaching at horse shows.

Patricia Stitson, Instructor and Rider

Patty received an Associate in Equine Management as a Lear Honors Society member in 1993. After working breaking & training young horses in New Jersey she decided to go back to school. Seven years later she walked up the steps of the CEC office on a whim and asked if they needed any help. Over four years later she still finds herself riding, instructing and assisting with the management of CEC. Under Mark's guidance she's been able to refine her the skils she acquired while growing up; training standardbreds to be trail horses, helping people with 'problem' horses, teaching day camps in Maine, as well as her education and later experience starting and backing young horses.
