Pony Rides

Buckaroo Rides are geared towards younger children (ages 7 and under) but we will also do them for older children who cannot take formal riding lessons.

For very young children (2-4yrs) who have never been around a pony we give them an opportunity to meet a pony and start to become comfortable with the pony by grooming and petting the pony. Once comfortable we take them for a short ride in an enclosed arena.

For older children a Buckaroo Ride consists of an 'on the ground' grooming lesson for about 5-10 minutes follwed by an'on horse' experience for 20-25 minutes .

We accept appointments for rides Tuesday through Sunday. Please be sure to call at least a day ahead to ensure availability of times. Call 858.259.1148 and ask for Maribeth.

Buckaroo riders should be wearing long pants and sturdy shoes. Parents should also be riding sturdy shoes. Especially with younger children we often request that a parent/guardian stay by their side during the ride.
